REPAIRS & FAULT FINDING

Draught beer fault finding.
Start with the cause.

Beer Care provides practical fault finding and repair support for commercial draught beer dispense and cooling problems across North Wales and the North West.

Telephone triage may be the right first step. Attendance and response times depend on location, urgency, existing work and equipment requirements.

IMMEDIATE SAFETY

If there is an immediate safety concern, deal with that first.

If you suspect a gas leak, electrical hazard or another immediate safety risk, follow the venue’s emergency procedures and keep people away from the affected equipment or area. Do not wait for Beer Care before dealing with an immediate safety risk.

Only isolate equipment if it is safe and appropriate for you to do so. For an ordinary dispense or cooling fault without an immediate safety risk, contact Beer Care for technical support.

COMMON PROBLEMS

Different symptoms can have different causes.

The symptom is a starting point—not a diagnosis. Beer Care checks the system context before recommending adjustments, repair or replacement.

01

WARM BEER / COOLING PROBLEMS

Temperature or cooling performance is not where expected.

02

INCONSISTENT DISPENSE

Poor or unstable dispense performance at the bar.

03

PRESSURE PROBLEMS

Dispense behaviour suggests gas or pressure setup should be checked.

04

EQUIPMENT FAULTS

Coolers, dispense equipment or associated components may not be operating normally.

05

RECURRING PROBLEMS

The same issue keeps returning after temporary fixes or adjustments.

06

SYSTEM CHANGES

A fault appears after equipment, cellar, product or setup changes.

BEFORE YOU CALL

A few details can make the first conversation more useful.

Have these details ready when you call or email Beer Care, along with photographs where useful.

01 — Venue name and location

02 — What the fault looks like

03 — When it started

04 — Whether all products or only part of the system are affected

05 — Whether cooling equipment appears to be running

06 — Any recent system or equipment changes

07 — Photographs, where useful

08 — Whether the venue is currently trading

09 — Whether there is any immediate safety concern

FAULT FINDING

Diagnose first.
Change parts second.

A structured check helps narrow the likely cause. It does not mean every fault will be resolved on the first visit.

01

UNDERSTAND

Clarify the symptoms, timing and system context.

02

CHECK

Inspect the relevant equipment and operating conditions.

03

ISOLATE

Narrow the problem to the likely cause rather than treating symptoms blindly.

04

REPAIR / RECOMMEND

Carry out the appropriate repair where practical or explain the next required step.

REAL BEER CARE ENGINEERING

Faults rarely happen in showroom conditions.

Beer Care works on real commercial dispense systems in working cellars and venues, where access, equipment condition, previous changes and operating pressures can all affect how a fault presents.

PRACTICAL OPTIONS

Repair when practical.
Replace when it makes more sense.

Not every fault requires replacement, and not every failing component is worth repeatedly repairing. Beer Care can assess the condition of the relevant equipment and explain the practical options.

01 — Nature of the fault

02 — Equipment condition

03 — Age

04 — Repeat history

05 — Repairability

06 — Availability of suitable parts

07 — Effect on the wider system

WHEN THE SAME PROBLEM KEEPS RETURNING

Reactive repair should not become the maintenance plan.

Repeated faults can indicate that a system needs a broader review rather than another isolated fix. Beer Care System Care Plans provide scheduled maintenance built around the venue and system.

MAINTENANCE OPTIONS

Visits every two months · Quarterly schedules · Bespoke arrangements

Care Plan customers receive preferential scheduling and preferential rates for additional Beer Care work outside their planned maintenance visits. Scheduling is subject to engineer availability, location and existing urgent commitments.
