Beer Care Dispense Solutions is the trading name of Mike Cornish, sole trader. This policy explains how Beer Care uses personal information in connection with this website, customer enquiries, engineering work, invoicing and the CellarSentinel monitoring service.

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email info@beercare.net or call 07807 708744.

Information Beer Care uses

Beer Care may use:

  • your name, job title, business or venue name and contact details;
  • venue addresses and information about draught beer systems and related equipment;
  • enquiries, quotations, appointments and correspondence, including photographs you send;
  • job reports, service history, parts used, customer sign-off and other records of work;
  • invoice, payment and accounting information; and
  • website and account information such as IP address, browser details, login and security records.

Information may be supplied by you or by a venue operator, brewery, employer or other organisation arranging work with Beer Care.

CellarSentinel

Where CellarSentinel is installed, Beer Care processes customer and venue details, authorised account and alert contacts, device identifiers, time-stamped sensor readings, equipment activity, connection information and alert history. Depending on the installation, readings may include temperature, humidity and vibration.

This information is used to provide remote visibility, generate configured alerts, support technical review and help Beer Care discuss an appropriate next step. Alerts support engineering judgement; they do not make decisions about individuals with legal or similarly significant effects.

Why the information is used

Beer Care uses personal information to:

  • answer enquiries and prepare quotations;
  • arrange, provide and support engineering and monitoring services;
  • keep accurate customer, venue and service records;
  • issue invoices, manage payments and meet tax and accounting duties;
  • investigate faults, complaints, warranty matters and legal claims; and
  • operate, maintain and protect the website, portal and other business systems.

The legal bases are contract where information is needed to enter into or perform a contract with you personally; legitimate interests in operating and protecting Beer Care and supporting customers and venues; legal obligation for tax, accounting and other legal duties; and consent where the law requires it, including for optional marketing or non-essential tracking.

If information needed for a quotation, booking, service or invoice is not provided, Beer Care may be unable to provide the requested service.

Who information may be shared with

Relevant information may be shared with the customer, venue, brewery or organisation commissioning the work; service providers supporting website hosting, email, accounting, invoicing, payments, monitoring and IT security; engineers or suppliers assisting with agreed work; and professional advisers, insurers or authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required.

Beer Care does not sell personal information. Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data protection law treats this as a restricted transfer, Beer Care uses an applicable UK adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Further information about relevant safeguards is available on request.

How long information is kept

Enquiries are kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond and follow up. Customer, job and service records are kept while the relationship continues and afterwards where needed for service history, warranty matters, unpaid accounts or legal claims. Tax and VAT records are normally kept for at least six years.

CellarSentinel information is kept for the monitoring service and for as long as reasonably needed for fault investigation, trend review and service support. Relevant information may form part of a longer-term job or support record. Information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.
